The IDM and Prof Jonathan Blackburn will be hosting a mini-symposium on “Characterisation of infectious and non-communicable disease states through advanced proteomics”. There will be four leading international speakers (see attached invitation), who will each give 25 minute talks on their cutting edge research in the proteomics/immunoproteomics field, utilising both mass spectrometry and Olink technologies amongst others.
The four talks will focus on unravelling molecular mechanisms and identifying biomarkers of infectious and non-communicable diseases, including quantifying perturbation in cellular and secreted proteomes, in global signalling networks as well as in sub-cellular localisation.
