Overview

The Research Development portfolio encourages and enables sustainable research in the Faculty of Health Sciences by supporting academic staff seeking funding from national and international agencies as well as working to increase visiblity of research in the faculty through research communications.

We provide support to researchers through:

• the identification and distribution of suitable research funding opportunities
• proposal development support including writing, editing, proof-reading, strategic advice on proposal content, budget development, liaising with funders, and coordinating and integrating inputs from multiple collaborators
• guiding researchers through UCT’s internal submission processes, and
• communications support for research activities.
