The September graduation ceremony was full of the joys of spring, and we congratulate all qualifiers on their perseverance and dedication to their disciplines. Also being conferred were FHS staff members (both academic and PASS) — the shining example of continuous learning. In addition, UCT awarded two honorary doctorates during the Health Sciences ceremony: one to Dr Mohammed Cassiem D'arcy (Doctor of Medicine) and one to Mr Shuaib Chalklen (Doctorate of Social Science), for their resilience and services to humanity.

September Graduation by the Numbers

The Faculty of Health Sciences conferred 288 qualifications, including 265 postgraduate degrees (62 PhDs, 162 Masters, 41 PGDips) and 23 undergraduate qualifications (20 MBChBs, 1 Audiologist, 1 Speech-Language Pathologist, and 1 Higher Certificate in Disability Practice).
