Congratulations to the recent winners of the 2016 National Research Foundation (NRF) awards. Professor Bongani Mayosi received an A rating. Professors Valerie Mizrahi and Timothy Noakes had their A-ratings renewed.

The Research Excellence Award for Early Career/Emerging Researchers was awarded to Professor Mark Engel. This award recognises outstanding research excellence by recipients of NRF Thuthuka grants.
