The Faculty of Health Sciences Transformation Equity Committee (F-TEC) invites you for a lunchtime webinar covering gender equality and LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace; gender-based violence; and gender-inclusive resources and services as part of their anti-GBV campaign - #PowerToProtect.

 

The webinar will be hosted by Dr Sianne Alves (Director of the Office for Inclusivity and Change (OIC), UCT), and Chanté Arab (Gender and Sexual Diversity Advocate, Faculty of Health Sciences).

Dr Sianne will speak on:

  • Gender Inclusive Resources and services
  • Gender Parity Focus for Women
  • Gender-Based Violence Counselling and Services and Strategy

While Chanté will discuss:

  • The gender galaxy – briefly how do we define womanhood?
  • Being inclusive during women’s month and in your fight for gender equality in the workplace and beyond
  • 6 element approach to LGBTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace (SA Workplace Equality Index)
