Dr Jennifer Wilson Bio:
MD, CCFP (EM), FCFP, DIMPH, MPH-AS (DCFM) in progress
Dr. Jennifer Wilson has been practicing comprehensive family medicine and emergency medicine in Canada for 23 years. Her second home is Ghana, West Africa where she has been co-leading a global health partnership since 2007.
Dr Jennifer is a Lecturer at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and is the Director of International Partnerships and Canadian Consultant for Family/Emergency Medicine at the Leyaata Hospital in Ghana.
Dr. Wilson is honoured to be the University of Toronto’s Faculty Lead for the African Higher Education Collaborative (AHEC) between the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Toronto’s Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) on short courses co-creation.
Dr. Wilson has recently published her first book, “Grant Us Tomorrow,” a medical memoir chronicling her longstanding global health partnership in Ghana.
