What is the Faculty of Health Sciences Language Festival?

The FHS Language Festival focuses on ways in which we can use language to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity in the Faculty.

The festival, themed Health for all, home for all, is part of a comprehensive initiative aimed at ensuring inclusiveness in the Faculty, that all in our community feel welcome and 'at home'.

Language in our country has historically been divisive, and a tool to disempower people, particularly when it came to learning and accessing health. It is also a powerful tool to break down barriers and build respect and understanding.
