The eLwazi Open Data Science Platform (www.elwazi.org), hosted within the Computational Biology Division, will be running a workshop designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of coding using Unix/command line & Git in an interactive environment. If you're interested in learning how to code but are unsure where to start, then this workshop will be helpful for you.

The workshop will follow the software carpentries style of instruction, which emphasises hands-on learning and practical coding skills. The purpose of the workshop is to provide a foundation for coding that participants can build on. The workshop is open to all – including complete beginners or those with some experience with coding.
