Head of Division - Communication Sciences

Congratulations to Dr Lucretia Petersen who was appointed Head of the Division: Communication Sciences and Disorders on 16 February in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (DHRS). 

Dr Lucretia Petersen is a senior lecturer in Audiology. She teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students, focusing on devising and adapting Audiology tools for the local context. Her other research interests include ototoxicity and otoacoustic emissions. She is currently the president of the South African Association for Audiologists (SAAA) and chair of the International focus group of the International Ototoxicity Management Group. She is a founding member of the African-Asian-South American Audiology Coalition (AASAAC)
