Best Publication 2012 Awards

Three awards were made in 3 categories - in the fields of clinical sciences; basic laboratory sciences; and public health and rehabilitation sciences.

The prize is a cash award to the value of R15 000.00 which must be used for research or other academic purposes.

Out of thirty applications received, only three best publications were awarded as follows:


Clinical Sciences:

Thomas Scriba for his article "A Phase 2a trial of the New Tuberculosis Vaccine, MVA85A, in HIV- and/or Mycobacterium tuberculosis-infected Adults"
