Overview

All Faculty of Health Sciences research staff, postdoctoral fellows and students are responsible for the ethical and safe conduct of research with human participants and animals. It is the responsibility of all researchers to comply with national and institutional ethics (human and animal research), biosafety and compliance obligations.

If you plan to conduct research involving human participants or animals or biological hazards, you will need prior approval from one of the Faculty’s research ethics or biosafety committees.

The approval will depend on the type of research that you intend to undertake.
