Dear Staff and Student Colleagues 

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our students, Sinelizwe Nyembezi, a third-year Speech-Language Pathology student. We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to Sinelizwe's family and friends.

We will be holding a memorial service today - Wednesday 14th June at 4pm, at Frances Ames in Barnard Fuller.

We understand that this news may be difficult for many of you. As a result, the Faculty will provide all the necessary support in this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need support or assistance.

Members of the Deanery, assisted by the Department of Student Affairs, have spent some time with Student Nyembezi’s father and mother. We keep the Nyembezi family in our thoughts and prayers. Our sincere condolences go out to them and all who knew and loved her.
