This is a 12 week fully online course facilitated by the Children’s Nursing Development Unit (CNDU), in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Cape Town.

The aim of the course is to help students bridge the gap between a Masters' degree and a PhD, if the Masters' degree was a clinical or professional degree with less focus on independent research and academic writing skills. The outcome of this course is that students will have a very clear idea of what the PhD journey looks like as well as have the basic skills to tackle a PhD.

Open to: Anyone with a Masters qualification, from any discipline, considering future PhD study.
Format: Offered fully online on Amathuba
Time input: Participants will need 6-7 hours per week for 12 weeks.
