The Debriefing for Simulation course is run over two days in-person and is designed to ensure solid basic educational theory and practical concepts related to debriefing for simulation-based education before moving into practice.
The course facilitators are experienced simulation educators, with special guest Prof Gabriel Reedy, an international expert.
Entry requirements: Healthcare students and workers from any discipline. Clinical educators. No experience required
The course is designed to enable learners to:
- Understand the role of debriefing in simulation-based education
- Implement tools and scripts for debriefing
- Understand how to measure the quality of debriefing activities
- Debrief human factors and performance gaps, and 'difficult' debriefing scenarios
- Facilitate psychologically safe and engaging learning environments
A digital certificate of attendance and CPD points will be issued to participants of the course.
