The Adolescent Health Implementation (AHI) short course aims to train research and implementation staff in southern Africa's government departments, non-governmental organizations, and research institutions. It also aims to promote the understanding of implementation science and its values and build the capacity to implement proven interventions more effectively. Note: The AHI short course replaces the previous Adolescent and Youth Health Policy (AYHP) short course.
Target audience: Early career researchers with a minimum B Degree in health and social sciences
Entry requirements: Post-matriculation qualification. Relevant post-matriculation qualification in the field of Public Health. E.g. BCurNursing, BSc Social Science, MBCHB, Public Health.
Each week of the course, participants must complete assigned pre-readings and watch three pre-recorded presentations of approximately 20 minutes each before the live weekly discussion sessions.
All the course resources will be hosted on the Amathuba teaching and learning platform, which includes links to live discussion sessions, pre-recorded presentations, reading assignments, session recordings, timetables, announcements, course pass criteria, final assignment instructions, and the portfolio of evidence guidelines.
The course materials are accessible from any digital device capable of web browsing, and the Amathuba App can be downloaded through App stores for improved access.

A digital certificate of completion will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course.
