Health service provision to Adolescents is distinctively different compared to younger children and adults.
This course aims to contextualise the Adolescent within society and the health system. It provides practical approaches to caring for Adolescent patients in General as well as those with other important health issues.
Entry requirements: Health professionals in the following categories: medical doctors, professional nurses, social workers, allied health professionals, health service managers
Learning outcomes:
- Good understanding of the Adolescent patient
- Knowledge of common challenges and priorities during adolescence
- Good insight into the ethics of confidentiality, consent and communication in adolescent care
- Practical approaches to common scenarios in adolescent health care

- Priorities in adolescent health
- Health promotion in adolescence
- Long term health conditions
- Tools and scenarios in adolescent health
A digital certificate of attendance will be issued to attendees and a certificate of completion will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course assessment.
