This is a three-day hands-on Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance workshop specifically designed to benefit Radiographers, Radiologists and Cardiologists working on, or interested in MRI, both in a clinical and research environment.
The workshop will consist of a series of lectures, followed by practical sessions based on the theory. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with MRI where they can gain a deeper understanding on how to plan, execute and analyse Cardiac MRI scans.
NB: Attendees need to bring their own laptop with mouse for the practical session on the simulator.

infiltrative heart disease

CMR safety in permanent pacemakers and implantable- cardioverter defibrillators
A digital certificate of attendance and CPD points will be issued to participants of the course.
The workshop is held at the Neuroscience Institute and the Cape Universities Body Imaging Centre (CUBIC) which hosts Africa’s first 3T Magnetom Skyra, whole body research scanner. CUBIC is situated at Unit J10, Neuroscience Institute, Groote Schuur Hospital, Anzio Road, Observatory.
