Module 2: Management
Module 2 comprises Lessons concerning the management, including vestibular rehabilitation therapy, of dizziness and balance disorders.
Who should attend?
The course is aimed at Audiologists, Neurologists, Otologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, General Practitioners.
Entry requirements: HPCSA registered in one of the above professions. Course must be within the professions' scope of practice.
Course Content
- Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
- Foundations of Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT)
- Implementing a VRT programme
- Falls and fall management
Learning Outcomes: The outcome for Module 2 is that practitioners will be able to comprehensively and holistically manage non-pharmaceutical treatment of primarily vestibular disorders. Complimentary readings will prompt consideration of non-vestibular disorders, but the main focus is the vestibular system.
A digital certificate of completion and CPD points will be issued to participants on successful completion of the course.
