DHRS Communique - Jan to June 2019
"Message from HOD"
Hello Colleagues
A great philosopher once said “ex DHRS seper aliquid novi.” which loosely translates to “out of DHRS always something exciting.”
Colleagues, 2019 has been an exciting year for DHRS so far: The year started with the usual marathon of admissions processes. A special thanks to the HODivs of the three UG programmes who showcased their ‘telethon skills’ to sort out the admissions issues arose earlier this year. If this academia thing does not work out, I am sure these three colleagues will make it in the call centre business (Lol). The rehab conference is also just around the corner, feel it, it is here! Finally, we had a special visit from the university (and faculty) executives at one of our clinical sites (Victoria Hospital) earlier this year and we ‘shined bright like a diamond.’
In this issue of DHRS newsletter, we share with you updates from different programmes and portfolios. As usual, the newsletter is rich with colourful and lively images which literally bring to life the content it contains. I am sure you will agree with me when I say once more that there is no department like DHRS at UCT. We are truly a department of champions!
Have a nice read.
