Child and adolescent health – Leave no one behind
The 2019 issue focuses attention on child and adolescent health, reflecting on recent progress, identifying current and emerging challenges, and showing casing examples of promising practice. It motivates for a life course approach and greater investment in early childhood and adolescence to disrupt the intergenerational cycles of violence, poverty and malnutrition - identifying opportunities to build a more resilient and responsive health care system, interrogating the role of big food in fuelling the rise of obesity and non-communicable diseases, and advocating for intersectoral collaboration to address the social and environmental determinants of child health.
