APFP - African Paediatric Fellowship Programme
The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health provides opportunities for postgraduate training in Paediatrics as well as in Paediatric Surgery, Pathology, Psychiatry and in Maternal and Child Health.
The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health is recognised throughout South Africa and internationally as a training centre producing top class paediatricians. Our registrars have a fine record of passing the Fellowship of the College of Paediatrician, FCPaed (SA) examination. The registrar training programme is co-ordinated by Prof Alan Davidson, Dr Marc Hendricks and Dr Alvin Ndondo. The registrars are actively involved in arranging the teaching schedule.
