Expertise & Experience

Sumaya Gabriels is physiotherapist by profession who worked in the public sector for many years as a rehabilitation clinician before joining UCT. She also has a keen interest in education. Since joining UCT her work has entailed offering academic support to students to help facilitate their academic success. She has worked in different spaces supporting students and is now based in the Division of Disability studies where she marries her interest in disability inclusion with supporting students on their academic journeys
