Mrs Fahmida Harris

My areas of practice and research interests lie within mental health and care of older persons. I am an advocate for the important role of physiotherapy in mental health, especially as this remains a poorly researched area. Even though physiotherapy does not generally feature within mental health care, I feel the profession has a significant contribution to make within this specialised area. I have seen the positive impact of physical activity on mental health, and I am passionate about bringing awareness about the importance of physiotherapy for mental health to my students and facilitating opportunities for exposure within their education and training.
