Introduction
Leigh-Ann Richards is a Senior Clinical Educator in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in the Faculty of Health Sciences, Occupational Therapy Division. She obtained her BSc in Occupational Therapy at UCT in 2005. She completed her community service at a district rural hospital, Canzibe, in the Eastern Cape. She was employed at Western Cape Rehabilitation Centre where she practiced in adult physical neuro. She then moved into the NGO and disability sector; working at the Western Cape Association for Persons with Disabilities where she gained extensive experience in community development, designing and implementing CBR programmes, project management and organisational development for 6 years. She now practices in the field of Community Development practice with a focus on social transformation, organisational development and health.
