Dr Diane Gray was awarded the best oral presentation in paediatric pulmonology at the South African Thoracic Society Congress for her presentation "Lung function in the first year of life in African infants: effect of early life pneumonia".  Prof Zar commented  "This is ground breaking work from the lung function research team, that Di has so superbly established in the Drakenstein Child Health study.
