Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to share the digital Abstract Flipbook and current programme for the UCT Department of Paediatrics and Child Health Annual Research Days, taking place on Tuesday 28 October and Wednesday 29 October 2025 at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital (D3 Lecture Theatre), with digital poster viewing in the PICU Seminar Room over both days. Please note that this is a fully in-person event, with no virtual attendance option available.

Thank you to all who submitted abstracts. Your participation reflects the Department’s growing research strength, diversity and collaborative spirit.

This year’s dynamic programme showcases the breadth and depth of research across our Department, spanning genomics, public and global health, diagnostic advances, neonatology, infectious diseases, and systems innovation.

We look forward to an inspiring two days of scientific exchange, collaboration, and celebration.

A special thank you to Geanine and Gail for their support.
