Over the years, members of the advocacy committee have contributed to a series of shadow reports to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. These shadow reports enable civil society to raise concerns, make recommendations and address critical gaps in government’s Country Report. And when these recommendations are incorporated into the UN Committee’s Concluding Observations, government must address these concerns in the next five year cycle.
