Our department maintains a well established and renowned service in conjunction with the Hepatobiliary unit at GSH. Prof S Beningfield is at the helm of the HPB imaging service providing world class hepatobiliary interventional procedures albeit within a resources limited environment.

Interventional radiology forms a major part of the registrar training with specialised HPB procedures forming part of the daily slate in C8.

A combined meeting is held fornightly on a Tuesday at 7:30 am in the C11 seminar room. This meeting provides for an excellent teaching opportunity for all involved as well as a forum for discussion of complicated surgical cases. The meeting is presented by a senior radiology registrar under guidance of Prof S Beningfield.
