TET Talks: Ideas worth sharing

Celebrating one year of TET Talks: Ideas worth sharing @ UCT Health Sciences Faculty
Gregory Doyle and Veronica Mitchell
Caring for our curiosity
In September of 2017, we started hosting regular sessions of twelve-minute talks around the topic of Teaching & Educating using Technology (TET). These conversations, modelled after the famous TED talks, were created as a time and a space for people to share ideas with faculty members during lunchtime breaks once a month.
Our TET Talks have proved to be popular, playing an important role in building a culture of innovation across disciplines and hierarchical structures. We have had students, part-time educators, and both guest and faculty academic members attend and present. These Talks are breaking through traditional boundaries, opening an creative environment where staff are able to share ideas, projects in progress, and connect with others through hearing what groundbreaking and fascinating projects are on-the-go in our Faculty.
The images below show some of the highlights from this past year.
