Assessment Methods Workshop

The assessment workshop aims to increase awareness of concerns around validity and reliability in assessment among all programmes in the FHS. All clinical and academic staff involved in coordinating and conducting assessment of UCT Faculty of Health Sciences students, are welcome to attend.

Topic: Designing assessment criteria for clinical, work-based or practice learning settings

This workshop will focus on the design of criterion-referenced assessments of students’ competence in work-based contexts. Participants will design assessment criteria linked to outcomes or competencies for their own students. The use of global rating scales and assessment rubrics will be presented.
