EDU goes online with Professional Development Courses

The Education Development Unit, Faculty Health Sciences, UCT, has adapted face-to-face professional development initiatives to be available as free online courses. The courses are available to anyone teaching health sciences students.

The courses are specifically designed to take into account the context of busy academics and staff with clinical commitments in tertiary, district or regional hospitals as well as community health clinics. The courses will provide a foundation in the core skills and concepts that underpin and support effective teaching, learning and assessment.

Participants can select courses tailored to suit a variety of needs from a basic introduction into teaching and learning such as the New Appointee’s Orientation Programme, or for more in depth dialogue in the Clinician Education Course.
