Mission
The HUB-TEC is an advisory committee of the Department of Human Biology on all matters of transformation, equity and social responsiveness. The HUB-TEC aims to support the Faculty of Health Sciences in becoming a diverse, inclusive, and safe institution.
Composition of the committee
The TEC should endeavour to have a membership that reflects the department to ensure representation of all. The TEC should have a core-membership consisting of: The HUB-TEC shall comprise of at least 6 members, including one representative of each of the Divisions within HUB, a current postgraduate student/postdoctoral fellow and at least one member of the admin staff. Members of this group are nominated by the members of their individual divisions to serve as representatives of the committee. At least one representative should be a member of PASS staff and academic staff. The HOD is an ex officio member of the committee.
