Ramonde Patientia

Senior Research Officer

Ramonde Patientia is a Research Officer at the NITAG Support Hub (NISH), based at the University of Cape Town, where she contributes to capacity building for vaccines and immunisation practices across the Africa and Eastern Mediterranean Regions. She is a medical doctor with extensive clinical background which includes infectious disease and drug-resistant tuberculosis research. She also co-convened public health teaching for undergraduate medical students at UCT.

Her academic background includes a Masters Health Innovation and ongoing studies in Public Health, with interests in systems thinking, social innovation, education and user-centred approaches. Ramonde is passionate about bridging the gap between research and policy to advance immunisation implementation.
