The NISH Fundamentals for Immunisation Advisors (Online) course provides an introduction to vaccinology concepts for evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM). This course will introduce NITAG members to the importance of understanding basic epidemiology in the context of EIDM.
Course content
The course will discuss key concepts relevant to the following:
- The different types of epidemiological study designs
- The role of surveillance
- The vaccine lifecycle including measures of outcome.
- The concept of population susceptibility
