Evidence gap maps (EGMs) are an interactive visual tool that provides an overview of research evidence on a particular topic.

The NISH Evidence Gap Maps (EGMs) help National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAGs) in the WHO Africa Region to get an overview of existing evidence for a particular intervention and outcome and directly access the relevant resources. NITAGs can identify concentrations of evidence (a more robust evidence base) and critical gaps. The EGMs include markers such as prevalence data, diagnostics, intermediate outcomes, final outcomes and impact.

The NISH Evidence Gap Maps (EGMs) is a collaboration between NISH and the Africa Centre for Evidence (ACE) at the University of Johannesburg, set to include a range of evidence topics relevant to Africa in future.
