Dr Antoinette Ba-Nguz
Dr Antoinette Ba-Nguz (MBChB) is the immunisation regional coordinator with UNICEF Eastern and Southern Africa, having been appointed in August 2018. She is responsible for leadership and guidance on immunisation programming of 21 UNICEF country offices and the collaboration with global and regional immunisation stakeholders.
Dr Ba-Nguz has 30 years of professional experience working with international agencies and non-profit organisations. She held senior management and coordination positions in maternal and child health programmes with a focus on health systems and vaccination policy decision-making. She is a medical doctor specialising in Paediatrics from the University of Dakar, Senegal; she holds a Master's in Tropical Bio-Medical Sciences from the Antwerp Tropical Medicine Institute, Belgium. She is a national from Senegal.
