Dr Amina Abdul-One (MBBS) obtained her Bachelor's in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Maiduguri in Borno state, Nigeria. Her continuous commitments and contributions to the immunisation landscape and the national public health ecosystem have earned her several recognitions, such as a commendation from the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board (2013), a certificate of outstanding leadership service from the Maitama District Hospital, Abuja (2015) and an award for outstanding contribution to the NPHCDA/Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) (2020).

She is currently a member of the Global NITAG Network (GNN) Steering Committee. She has participated in several advisory group meetings such as SAGE, the Regional Immunization Technical Advisory Group (RITAG) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), amongst others. 

Dr Abdul-One joined the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Health under the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) in 2014 after clinical practice with the Maitama General Hospital, Abuja. Under the Department of Disease Control and Immunization (DC&I), she held several positions such as routine immunisation medical officer, country yellow-fever focal person, senior medical officer for non-Polio SIA's, Nigerian Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NGI-TAG) Head of Secretariat and focal person and member of the National COVID-19 Response Team. She still maintains her contributions in all these capacities.
