Miss Bianca Kruger

Bianca graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Genetics. In 2019, she joined the University of Cape Town, Division of Human Genetics as part of the Pharmacogenomics and Drug metabolism research group where she completed her Honours degree at the top of her class. She is currently a PhD candidate in the same research group under the supervision of Prof Collet Dandara and A/Prof Delva Shamley. Her research focuses on the pharmacogenomics of tamoxifen among Africans, and she hopes her research will contribute to improved breast cancer treatment for Africans by predicting tamoxifen treatment outcomes.
