CBIO has several services and tools available to UCT and other users. The Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine (IDM) and  the Clinical Infectious Diseases Research Initiative (CIDRI) each have a dedicated bioinformatician available to assist with Bioinformatics Support Requests. Although requests from the IDM and CIDRI therefore take priority, we welcome requests from other researchers and follow a collaborative model.

For users already familiar with running their own pipelines in a high-performance compute setup we have implemented several open source pipelines for omics data processing, including Metagenomics (WGS), 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing, RNAseq (human), Proteomics, Array-based genotyping, Human Genome/Exome seq.
