Welcome to Gokul Nair

Welcome to Gokul Nair who was appointed recently as Senior Technical Officer for the Adrenaline Auto-Injector project in the Division of Biomedical Engineering. Gokul did his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. For his undergraduate final year project he did a study on the energy absorption characteristics of Aluminium foam. His Master's project involved the design, manufacturing and testing of an novel Adrenaline Auto-Injector. This project has spun out into a commercialization opportunity, which he intends to pursue.

Outside of the academic sphere, he loves to hike and take photographs. He loves animals, especially dogs and tries to spend as much time in nature as he possibly can.
