Four Honorary Appointments in Division of Biomedical Engineering

The University and the faculty recently approved four honorary appointments in the Division of Biomedical Engineering. Prof Matthew Glucksberg, Prof David Kelso and Prof Anurag Mairal were appointed as Honorary Professors and Dr Bruce Spottiswoode's appointment as Honorary Senior Lecturer was renewed. Profs Glucksberg and Kelso are both from the Northwestern University in Chicago and have been contributing to the division since 2004 in the areas of respiratory physiology, and low-cost diagnostics for infectious diseases in resource-poor environments. Prof Mairal from Stanford University will provide expertise in biodesign, health innovation and global healthcare. Dr Spottiswoode from Siemens Medical Solutions in Chicago is an expert in magnetic resonance imaging and will continue providing his expertise in this area.
