BME capacity development in Ethiopia

UCT's Division of Biomedical Engineering has recently been invited to contribute to the capacity development in BME education at Addis Ababa University and Jimma University in Ethiopia. Two programmes funded by Netherlands Initiative for Capacity Development in Higher Education (NICHE) with approximately €1m each will commence in 2015 and run over four years. UCT's BME Division will provide expertise and consultation for the development of programmes for biomedical engineering in Ethiopia and will train staff from the two university at the University of Cape Town. The programmes are led and coordinated by CINOP Global B.V.
