Protocol Submission Form

All departmental research with human participants (e.g. healthy participants or patients), data from human participants, or research animals, needs also ethics review and authorization through the FHS Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) or Research Animal Ethics Committee (RAEC).

The DRC medicine is improving internal monitoring of submissions, especially those involving post-graduate students in the department.

Thus, in order to receive proposal sign from the DRC chair, submission of:

1. New protocol submission form (can be completed online) – all research projects submitted for signature to the DRC/HOD offices (add link)
2. If for a postgraduate degree in the Department then the student is required to submit a Departmental Research Proposal Checklist form in addition to the new protocol submission form. See further instructions on the post-grad page.
