Heritage Day Celebration – Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics
Heritage Day is a day to celebrate and share our different local and foreign cultures, languages, food, traditional attire and practices that all contribute towards creating the vibrant diversity that characterises South Africa. This year, staff members of the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health and Family Medicine celebrated Heritage Day in true style at the Division’s research site at the Gugulethu Community Health Centre. Staff members in traditional dress enjoyed different dishes together and showcased their beautiful attire in an impromptu fashion show. Shireen Parker (Research ultrasonographer) won the best dressed/best performance prize, and the PrEP-PP study team won the prize for the best dressed study team.
