Poster Awards: 2020 Virtual Research Poster Event
The School of Public Health and Family Medicine is pleased to announce the winners of the Poster Awards for its 2020 Virtual Research Event.
The awardees are:
- Oluwaseyi Somefun, PhD student in the Women's Health Research Unit, for her poster titled “Telemedicine versus standard care for first-trimester abortion in South Africa: a randomized controlled non-inferiority trial”
- Sorrel Pitcher, PhD student in the Women's Health Research Unit, for her poster titled “Talk about sex with your patients!”
- Dorothy Nyemba, PhD student in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, for her poster titled “Prevalence, incidence, and associated risk factors of STIs during pregnancy in South Africa”
- Viola Chepkurui MPH, MPH student in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, for her poster titled “Characterisation of National Immunisation Programmes (NIPs) in the context of Public Health Emergencies (PHEs): a case study of 13 countries in the WHO-Afro region”
- Itumeleng Ntatamala, MMed student in the Division of Occupational Medicine, for his poster titled “The prevalence and correlates of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder among ambulance personnel in the Western Cape Province”
