The Master of Medicine (MMed) programme in Public Health Medicine is a 4-year training programme for medical doctors wanting to specialise in Public Health Medicine which would enable them to register as a Public Health Medicine specialist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Applicants must have registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the category of independent practice to allow them to be trained as specialists. Non-South African doctors who wish to apply for training in a supernumerary position should approach the Programme Convener for further information on how to pursue this.
