Hlengiwe is particularly interested in utilising high-throughput technology, such as omics method approaches, to design and evaluate innovative risk-predictive screening tools (biomarkers) for the early identification of future risk of adverse weight gain and associated metabolic disorders in pregnant and postpartum women living with HIV in Southern Africa.
