Dr Wasserman is an Associate Professor and Infectious Diseases Consultant in the Department of Medicine. He is co-convener of the Nelson Mandela-Fidel Castro Medicine (NMFC) course for 4th and final year students returning from Cuba to complete additional training at UCT.
