This is one of the latest accolades for Dr Beatrix Callard following her presentation in April at the “Solid Symposium”. Beatrix has become a data Steward for Namibia for the VODAN (Value- Driven and Ownership of Data and Accessibility Network) Africa network (https://aun.mu.edu.et/vodan/)!

Beatrix was invited to attend a Hackathon at the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC), attended by PhD students from the Una Europa (University Network Initiative Alliance) (https://www.una-europa.eu/ ) who attended hands-on workshops to design their research data sets to align with FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) principles. At the end of the workshop all students submitted a poster about FAIR data within their research projects.  Beatrix’s attendance was made possible through LUMC Seed money.  As her data collection was completed Beatrix’s poster focussed on what was required to make stillbirth data FAIR within her local context.
