The new research methods course was changed to be more accessible by splitting the course into 4 modules which can each be attended whenever convenient.

Each 4-module course takes place 3 times in the year, with each module happening on a Friday morning from 9am-12pm (with coffee/tea and biscuits from 8.30am).


Although this course is aimed at MMeds, all FHS postgraduate students (MPhil, MSc, PhD, etc) are welcome to register if they feel they would benefit from any of the modules.

Course 1:

  • Module 1 - 28 Feb
  • Module 2 - 7 Mar
  • Module 3 - 14 Mar
  • Module 4 - 28 Mar

Course 2:

  • Module 1 - 9 May
  • Module 2 - 16 May
  • Module 3 - 23 May
  • Module 4 - 30 May

Course 3:

  • Module 1 - 8 Aug
  • Module 2 - 15 Aug
  • Module 3 - 22 Aug
  • Module 4 - 29 Aug

L51 Old Main Building, Groote Schuur Hospital (CRC). We may change to the J45 seminar room, Department of Surgery, Old main Building if we have more bookings than the L51 room can accommodate.
